PSY's new video, "Gentleman", banned

One of South Korea's national TV networks has decided not to air the latest music video from Psy, due to a scene that involves vandalism.

According to a statement released by the Korean Broadcasting System on Thursday, the International singer's new song ' Gentleman' has been ruled "inappropriate" for air because the rapper kicks a traffic cone at the beginning of it, Wall Street Journal reported.

"KBS's review standards ... are different from the Internet, online broadcasters or cable channels," it said.

"This is because network TV is watched by everyone regardless of gender and age. Infants or children haven't fully developed a standard for judgment and tend to believe and follow what's shown on television," the statement added.

Meanwhile, the video for the controversial song, which shows the 35-year-old rapper pulling pranks on women, is another viral hit, with more than 142 million views in the first five days after release.

A spokeswoman for Psy's agency YG Entertainment, said that the company has no plans to submit a different version of the video and "will follow KBS' decision." (ANI)
