Dear Heavenly Father,
We, your children, come before you this day committing ourselves unto
thy care; and ask that you guide, bless, protect and forgive us our
sins.
Father, we remember this day, the souls of those who died yesterday in
the helicopter crash and pray that you grant their families, and the
nation, the fortitude to bear such irreparable loss.
We pray Lord, that through this, the hearts of our leaders would be
softened to see and understand the vanity in the love of life and its
perishable embodiments.
Father, we beseech you to open their eyes and minister to their
conscience your eternal word of love.
Lord, this day, let your fear reside in their hearts and give them the
strength and grace needed to love the masses.
Let this be that which would unite us as a nation and draw us closer
to your side.
Finally Father, we ask that you empower us with the strength to fight
and overcome those "hearts of stone" who have nothing but misery for
us- for we are your anointed.
Amen.
