One source said the affair began after a round of flirting at a LA
basketball game in February 2011.

The source included that after being off and on, this piece of
information caused Selena to cut things off permanently.


Then in November 2012 during the recording of the Victoria's Secret
Fashion Show , as told by the source, Bieber and Bad Gal Ri would
runaway to Hotel Giraffe .Security blocked off the entire floor for
them.


On the other side of the story, Justin denies that he had a physical
relationship with Rihanna . Whether the Bajan singer will be speaking

D'banj and Yvonne to perform at AFCON final on sunday

The three-week Orange AFCON South Africa 2013 tournament will come to
a close with a thrilling closing ceremony and six artists have been
confirmed as participating in the event, which is set to commence at
6.30pm on Sunday, 10 February, 2013, at the National Stadium, Joburg.


Nigerian superstar D'Banj, South African songbirds Zonke and
Thembesile Ntaka, Kenyan vocalist Muthoni, South Africa's powerhouse
vocalist Kelly Khumalo, and smooth house music group Micasa will all
be performing.


The ceremony will be preceded with a brief presentation and
performance from YvonneChaka Chaka, in her capacity as a goodwill
ambassador for the Roll Back Malaria Partnership. She will be
accompanied by football veteran and champion of the UnitedAgainst
Malaria campaign, Mark Fish, who'll provide a brief address on the
issues surrounding malaria in Africa. Following that, Durban heroes DJ
Tira Big Nuz get the crowd pumped in preparation for the closing
ceremony.

Progressives: 12 PDP governors could join APC

About 12 governors, whoare members of the ruling Peoples Democratic
Party, may join the newly formed political party, All Progressive
Congress. Our correspondent gathered that the governors were already
talking with theleaders of the newly formed political party.


Investigations further showed that some of the governors were already
thinking of how to leave the party and join the newly formed APC.

The new party was formed by the merging of the Action Congress of
Nigeria, All Nigeria Peoples Party, All Progressive Grand Alliance and
Congress for Progressive Change.


It was gathered that some other minor political parties had also
discussed with the newly former political party. Sources close the PDP
said the party was already fidgetingthat some of its governors and
lawmakers could leave the party.


A member of the National Working Committee of the PDP, who spoke with
our correspondent on condition of anonymity, said the leadership of
the party and the Presidency were afraid that their governors could
abandon the umbrella.

Umbrella is the symbol of the PDP.

He said behind the show of 'we don't care' by the party's leadership,
there was concealment of fear, as the party was afraid that the
current crisis rocking the party could consume it and make it a
minority party in the future.


He said, "The party's leadership is afraid. I must tell you. We are
not convenient at all because the formation of the party is coming at
a time we are having problems inour party.


"Don't forget that the NWC is divided. The governors are angry. We
cannot hold National Executive Committee meeting. We are even finding
it difficult to elect the chairman of our Board of Trustees.


"We are also having financial problems in the party as the governors
have refused to fund us the way they used to do before the crisis
started.

"So, if anyone is telling you that we are at peace and are not worried
as a result of the formation of the party, such a person is being
economical with the truth."

The source also added that though the party is convenient with the
attitude of his members in the Senate, the same thing could not be
said of the House of Representatives.


"We know that the opposition is in control of the House, because
though the Speaker, Mallam Aminu Tambuwal belongs to our party, he is
more popular among the opposition political parties," the NWC member
said regrettably.


Among governors touted that could leave the party, four are from the
North-West, three from the North-East, two from the South-South and
three from the North-Central.


We further gathered that these governors, especially those from the
North, would move if it was clear that President Goodluck Jonathan
would run for a second term.

"His second term ambition, if he declares it, will quicken the death
of this party," a source close to the party said.

Christiane Amanpour looks at the similarities in Nigeria's electricity problem and the Super bowl blackout

Nigeria's persistent power cuts was recently compared to the black out
which occurred at the largest sporting events in the United States,
the Super Bowl by CNN's Christiane Amanpour.


On Sunday 3rd February 2013, there was a 35 minutes black out at the
event watched by over a hundred million people in 180 countries.


This launched a blizzard of tweets, with many coming from Nigerians
who were amused to know they are not the only ones with electricity
challenges.


In the video, Amanpour parodies the epileptic power situation in
Nigeria and its connection with the black out at the Super Bowl,
noting some of the tweets from Nigerians: "Power outage at the Super
Bowl on Sunday.


Suddenly, Nigeria doesn't look as dark anymore.""If they had the Super
Bowl in Nigeria, the power coming back on would be the real
surprise."Amanpour recalled the interview she recently had with
President Goodluck Jonathan where he said Nigerians were pleased with
the government's commitment to improve power and that there was
considerable improvement in electricity supply in Nigeria.


This interview was followed by several tweets from Nigerians who
denied the President's claim. In the concluding part of the video, CNN
interviewed some Nigerians who complained about the epileptic power
supply in Nigeria and their growing dependence on the use of
generators.


Amanpour concluded her report with this funny tweet from a Nigerian

"Nigeria should bid to host the next SuperBowl. At least we have
standby generators. #JustSaying"


Hopefully, this sort of international spotlight would help improve the
power situation in the country.

Odd News: Pianist Performs Love Songs For Tortoises To Encourage Mating

Pianist Richard Clayderman has been encouraging Galapagos tortoises to
mate by playing romantic ballads for them at their enclosure at London
Zoo.


The musician played a set of seductive songs on a grand piano to Dirk
– who is believed to be over 70-years-old – and his female companions
Dolly, Priscilla and Polly, all 17, and 13-year-old Dolores.


He said: "Music is a powerful thing, and I would like to believe it
has a positive effect on animals, as well as us. It certainly is an
experience to play in such a well-known and romantic place as London
Zoo."


How was it for you? It's not clear whether the music had the desired effect.
Scientists have suggested that music can affect animal behaviour and
some farmers have claimed classical tunes helped to increase the yield
of milk and eggs from their livestock.


But it was not immediately clear whether the French star's sentimental
music had had the desired effect on his audience.
Clayderman, who is staging a recording comeback after more thana
decade, became a huge star in the 1970s thanks to his track Ballade
Pour Adeline, which is one of the biggest-selling recordings of all

AFCON: Jonathan sends David Mark, 3govs, 3 ministers to South Africa

President Goodluck Jonathan is sending a high-powered delegation to
South Africa to boost the morale of the super eagles and cheer them to
victory in their final games against Burkina Faso on sunday.


A statement issued by the special Adviser to the president on Media
and Publicity, Reuben Abati Friday said the delegation will be led by
the President of the Senate, Senator David Mark while members include
Governors PeterObi of Anambra, Isa Yuguda of Bauchi and the Minister
of State (Foreign Affairs) Prof. Viola Onwuliri, the Minister of
Police Affairs, Navy Capt. Caleb Olubolade and the Minister ofState
(Works), Ambassador Bashir Yuguda.


The statement said President Jonathan wouldhave loved to be present in
South Africa but his official commitments in London and Paris have
made it impossible for him to lead the cheering for the Super Eagles.


The president charged the delegation to ensure that the members of the
team are properly motivated and in the best possible spirits to win a
resounding victory for the nation on Sunday.


"They are to also inform the team that President Jonathan will host a
dinner reception for them at the State House Banquet Hall at 7pm on
Tuesday, February 12,2013 to personally thank and honour them for
their positively transformed performance in South Africa which has
undoubtedly re-established Nigeria as a major power in international
soccer.


"The President charged the team to go out against Burkina Faso on
Sunday with the greatest determination to win a final victory that
will bring immense joy and happiness to the millions of Nigerians at
